Czech speaker wanted

SOMEONE who speaks Czech is being sought to help communicate with a delegation from the country arriving in Warrington next month.
Warrington Borough Council is receiving a civic delegation from the Náchod district of the Czech Republic from Monday September 8 to Thursday September 11.
The delegation of 11 will visit a range of local services to compare notes about the way things are done in Warrington.
Warrington has a long-standing relationship with Nachod, dating from when the former Czechoslovakia emerged from behind the Iron Curtain and the borough council sent several missions to the new republic carrying much needed books which had been banned by the former Communist regime.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact Roger Hannam on 442105, a member of the communications team on 442140 or call in to the Town Hall.
