A TEENAGER was given a street warning for possession of cannabis after drug squad police raided a house at Warrington.
Officers from Warrington East Neighbourhood Policing Unit – supported by colleagues from Cheshire Police’s VECTOR unit – executed the warrant at an address in Parksway, Woolston, in the early hours of the morning.
They cautioned the 17-year-old man and also seized drugs – believed to be cannabis – and various drugs

paraphernalia.
Police also executed a second warrant at an address in Cliftonville Road, Woolston, in the early hours. A 37-year-old man was interviewed by police and no further action was taken.
The warrants are part of ongoing efforts to tackle the issue of drugs in the local community.
Sgt Steve Hilton-Smith, who helped to co-ordinate the warrants, said: “We are committed to tackling all issues which impact on the quality of life of those in our community.
“Our work will continue to ensure positive action is taken against anyone involved in illegal activity.
“Our enquiries will be continuing and rest assured we will take further action if necessary.
“We hope this sends out a clear message to anyone involved with drugs that we will take action against them.
“It also demonstrates that we do listen to members of the community and will act on information they provide about suspected criminal activity in their area.
“Intelligence from the local community in relation to drug use and supply is vital in the fight against drug related crime.
“It is vital that this dialogue between local officers and local residents continues and I would urge anyone with any information to get in touch.”
