WARRINGTON’S dancing champion George Sampson is set to receive another award for his smooth moves – this time for raising the profile of street dancing.
Britain’s Got Talent winner George, from Birchwood, will be appearing at the United Dance Organisation World Street Dancing Championships in Blackpool on Saturday (August 2) where he will receive the award from UDO chairman Simon Dibley.
George was crowned world champion for the under 16s section at the competition last year and the UDO want to mark his contribution of raising in street dance as an art form.
Millions tuned in to watch George groove his way to the talent show’s top prize of a spot on the Royal Variety Show and a cheque for £100,000.
After the UDO competition, he will be making his West End debut dancing in the musical Into The Hoods from August 4.
