Positive action awards

NOMINATIONS are being sought for the Warrington Disability Partnership’s Positive Action Awards North West 2008.
The awards provide an opportunity for people to nominate employers, businesses, service providers or individuals that deserve recognition for promoting independence, delivering accessible services or maintaining exemplary practices for disabled people.
Anyone can nominate people for the awards and can nominate as many different companies or people as they wish.
All nominee must however be based in the North West of England.
Nominations are being sought for the following categories:
Employment – large, more than 500 employees, medium, between 50 and 500 employees, small, less than 50 employees, and voluntary sector and charities.
Service – Transport, visitor attraction, eating or drinking out, leisure, recreation or sport, health or NHS, voluntary organisations including charities, housing, local authority or Government department and an open category for any other.
Individual categories – Unpaid carer and disabled person.

The closing date for all nominations is August 29.
