Green team comes to parents' aid

A GREEN team is offering parents in Warrington the chance to rid their kids of the summer holiday blues by visiting local beauty spots.
The Mersey Forest Team have launched a new website packed full off walks, bike rides, horse rides and more across the Cheshire region.
One of the areas covered on the site is Risley Moss at Birchwood, which provides open space for pleasant walks and bike rides.
“Route packs” are available on the site, which give guides to parents about the facilities available at the different places throughout the county.
Director of The Mersey Forest, Paul Nolan, said: “The site is a great way for people to discover all kinds of outdoor activities located within easy reach, and shows that you don’t necessarily have to go to the Lake District to get some fantastic fresh air and exercise.
“We’re keen for the site to become a real forum for people to come together to share and celebrate all the great scenery our area holds. So if you’ve got a favourite route, don’t keep it quiet, email [email protected] with the details and it’ll be added to the site.”
