New signings at Town

WARRINGTON Town boss Paul Moore has been busy strengthening his squad for the new season by capturing the signatures of three new players.
Andy Alston and Billy Webb will be pulling on the yellow shirt next season after agreeing to join Town from Congleton.
Joining them in Town’s ranks will be Anthony Kielty from Kidsgrove.
Alston was signed by Moore when he was in charge at Congleton and has been captain of the club for the past three years.
Moore said: “I am very pleased to have captured a player of Andy’s ability. He is a player who I respect both on and of the pitch, and will be a welcomed addition to our already strong squad.”
Webb also links up with his former boss from Congleton after being on Tranmere’s books as a junior.
Moore commented: “Billy is a live wire, who I have known since he was five years old. I have no problems with giving him his chance, I believe he can give me the pace and passion that will scare tiring defences to death. He is a great young man and is loving the opportunity the club is giving him.”
Kielty is another player Moore has been chasing for a long time and he is now delighted to have finally got his man.
He said: “Anthony is a quality defender, who i tried to capture last season, but he decided to stay loyal to Kidsgrove. He is the type of player every manager would like to sign, honest and reliable, he never gives in and has a great ability. I am very pleased to have captured such a good player for Warrington Town.”
The trio join The Wire this season along with other summer signings Andrew Potter(Lincoln), Richard Mottram (Liegh genesis), Kevin Towey (Marine), Jamie Holme (Marine) and Paul Williams (Wrexham).
The Town boss is not resting on his laurels however and hopes to add even more signings to the squad in the coming weeks.
He added: “I have agreed terms with one and will be completing the paperwork Saturday, and have yet to resolve the other. The signs are good and I don’t believe there to be any problems. We have assembled a very good outfit over the summer, and although we have lost one or two, I do think that we are more than equipped to give a good account of ourselves this season.”
Fans will get the chance to see the new comers in action this Saturday when they take on Crossfields at Cantilever Park.
Season tickets for the 2008-09 Unibond Division One North campaign are on offer until the end of July, priced at just £100.
Anyone interested in buying a season ticket, or requiring more information about Saturday’s game, should contact the club secretary Barry Thorpe on 07733 446 412.
