Man arrested after knife raid

A 38-year-old Warrington man has been arrested in connection with a knife raid on a local convenience store.
Two men got away with cash from the store in Cinnamon Lane North, Fearnhead after threatening staff with a knife during the incident.
Both were wearing dark clothing when they burst into the shop at 9.55pm on Monday (July 7) and threatened staff with an eight-inch knife.
They snatched a cash box containing money and a bottle of alcohol before running off.
No member of staff was injured but they were left badly shaken.
Both men were about 6ft tall and of medium build. The one carrying a knife in his left hand wore a black coat with a hood and a black scarf over his face. The second man was wearing black clothing and had a silver/grey paintball-type mask over his face.
