Students to show beauty skills

COLLEGE students will be showing off their hair and make-up skills as part of a charity fashion show at Warrington this weekend.
The event, which takes place in conjunction with the Cockhedge Shopping Centre and Warrington Wolves, will see students from Warrington Collegiate take on hair and make-up duties.
The models will be wearing summer ranges from George at ASDA and TK Maxx and all money raised will go to the Wolves Foundation, which seeks to help young people get more from their involvement in sport and encourage life-long participation in physical activity.
Davinia Mape, hairdressing lecturer at the college said: “In addition to raising money for a great cause, this fashion show is a fantastic opportunity for the students to use all the skills and techniques they have learned.”
In addition to the fashion show, there will be a charity raffle and performances from the Warrington Wolves dancers and performing arts students from the Collegiate.
Davinia added: “With all the entertainment on offer, I am certain everyone who attends will have a great time.”
Warrington Collegiate has had a close relationship with the Wolves and January saw the opening of Mike Gregory Street at their Winwick Road campus in honour of the late RL legend.
The fashion show takes place on Saturday from 1pm at the Cockhedge Shopping Centre.
