Emily McLoughin and Joanna Oakes, along with their scout leader Christopher Anwyl were given a tour of Parliament, before enjoying tea with their MP in the Speakers’ Westminster rooms.
The tea party is the only entertaining by the Speaker during Parliamentary term time.
Afterward, Emily McLoughin said: “It was a great experience to come to Westminster to visit the Houses of Parliament.
“Scouting is all about adventure and trying new experiences. The trip certainly reflected that!”
Ms Jones said: “I was delighted to meet some of the scouts from Warrington. It was great learning about their experiences and activities they have been involved in.
“Scouting remains relevant, providing young people with the opportunities to try out new adventures, from climbing Everest to trying snowboarding to working with their communities.”
Chief Scout Peter Duncan said: “I hope Parliamentarians will agree that scouting is
creating a better world through its work with young people and has a clear role in encouraging young people to make a positive difference to their communities and to the world.”
