Cricket club prays for a dry day

MEMBERS of Glazebury Cricket Club will be hoping rain doesn’t stop play on Sunday August 3 – the day of the club’s annual Fun Day at the Chat Moss Hotel.
As usual, a team of hard working members have lined up a wide range of attractions for what is the club’s main fund-raising event of the year.
There will be a wide range of stalls, including tombola, in the beer garden behind the pub and a new feature will be a live band. The event starts at 1.30pm.
Money raised will go towards improving facilities at the Hurst Lane ground and purchasing equipment – particularly for the club’s thriving junior section which now runs three teams.
Anyone who wants to donate items for the tombola or other prizes should contact Anita Gibbons on 01925 763539.
