3am disturbance on playing fields

POLICE are investigating a disturbance on playing fields at Warrington in the early hours of today.
Fire crews were called to Mary Ann Meadows at Westbrook at around 3am when a number of wheelie bins were found burning.
They appeared to have been dragged to the area from nearby homes.
A group of about 15 youths, who were alleged to have been causing a disturbance on the playing fields for several hours, were questioned but it is not known if any arrests were made.
A number of the plastic bins were completely destroyed.
