School club to down-size?

THE new Stockton Heath Primary School will offer places for 420 children – an increase of almost 100.
But the school’s Link Club – which provides out-of-hours care for youngsters at the school – is to be reduced by more than half.
Worried parents claim the club currently offers 182 places but will be reduced to 70 places.
They fear children will be turned away from the after school and breakfast clubs operated by the club – and voiced their fears at a meeting of Stockton Heath Parish Council.
Chairman Coun Maurice Leslie, a governor of the school, said he would make enquiries about the number of places provided and future plans.
