Chance for residents to have their say

WARRINGTON residents are being given the voice their concerns to police officers at specially arranged Community Action Meetings.
Officers will be joined by local PCSOs at the next batch of meetings, which will take place in the central Warrington area.
The CAMs are the perfect opportunity for residents to inform officers about any local issues and particular concerns they have.
PCSO Kath Harkin, from Warrington Central NPU, said: “We are working in partnership with various agencies in the local community to help make your community safer. This is your opportunity to tell those who work in your community what concerns you in your neighbourhood.
“The turnout at recent meetings has been encouraging and we hope that even more residents will attend the next set of meetings and tell us of any issues or concerns. Letting us know about any problems allows local officers to really get to grips with what is happening in the area.”
At the end of the meetings there will be 30 minute surgery times where residents can talk to officers directly on any individual concerns they may have.
PCSO Harkin added: “The meeting is also a great place for local people to get to know their local officers and to put a face to a name.”
Details for the areas and times of the next meetings are as follows:
Longford and Orford: Tuesday, June 17, 7pm at St Stephen’s Primary School, Sandy Lane.
Thursday, June 19, 7pm at St Anne’s Primary School, Latham Avenue.
Howley and Fairfield: Tuesday, June 24, 7pm at St Benedict’s Primary School, Quebec Road.
Thursday, June 26, 7pm at St Elphin’s Community Centre, St Katherine’s Way.
Anyone who cannot attend the meetings can contact Warrington Central Community Action Team on 0845 458 6379.
