Prince William visits town!

PRINCE William visited Warrington decked in flowers as part of Cheshire’s Floating Garden Festival.
It wasn’t His Royal Highness but a narrow boat of the same name!
Lymm Festival and Lymm Cruising Club supported the event which saw Prince William decked in flowers
and carrying gifts from Lymm to the next port of call, Walton, as part of the Floating Garden Festival.
Leader of Warrington Borough Council Ian Marks and Tourism Manager Rosemary Lavander were were joined by Honor Giles, Director of Lymm Festival and Dave Ross, Commodore of Lymm Cruising Club, to greet the boat.
The festival is being run in conjunction with Cheshire Year of the Garden and will see three other boats from
Bollington/Macclesfield, Audlem/Nantwich and Ellesmere Port/Chester launched.
They will all come together at Middlewich for the Folk and Boat Festival and will be moored from June 12.
