A DRUG user looking to “score” attacked a dealer in a Warrington park in a bid to get a fix.
Christopher Harper, 28, told his victim: “If you don’t give it to me I’ll put you to sleep.”
Harper, of Statham Avenue, Orford, Warrington pleaded guilty at the town’s Crown Court to robbery and was jailed for 16 months.
Steven Hoolohan, prosecuting, said Harper approached a man in Orford Park demanding he hand over drugs.
There was a scuffle which involved the victim being put in a headlock and wrestled to the ground. Harper was eventually given two bags of cocaine and two bags of heroin.
Andrew Downie, defending, said Harper, although a drug user, wanted to rid Orford Park of drug dealers because one of his friends had died as a result of taking drugs purchased in the area.
Judge Stephen Clarke told Harper: “People should be able to walk around the streets without the threat of violence upon them.”

  1. Why does the local press constantly print these half stories? Anyone reading this is bound to ask what happened to the drug dealer then? Will he also be prossecuted or just let off?
