Fair trade models strut their stuff

MODELS will be “strutting their fair trade stuff” during five fashion shows being held throughout the town.
Fair 4 All, Warrington’s fair trade shop in the market is organising the Fair Trade Fashion Events.
One of the organisers said: “We are getting ready to help people strut their fair trade stuff.
“Owing to the popularity of the shop’s previous fashion shows, it has been decided to hold five Fair Trade Fashion Events at various venues around the town.”
The shows are on Wednesday, June 11, Lymm Baptist, Higher Lane, June 12, Padgate Methodist, Padgate Lane, Monday June 16, Thomas Risley URC, Glover Road, Birchwood, Thursday, June 19, Warrington Methodist Mission, Bold Street, and Friday, June 20, Stockton Heath Methodist, Walton Road.
Organisers say Fair Trade fashion empowers the producers, giving them fair wages and ensuring good working conditions. Among its aims are building trust and long term trading relationships with partners, not using enforced child labour, using eco friendly or sustainable materials were possible and protecting the environment.
Fair Trade accessories including handbags, scarves and jewellery will also be on sale at each venue.
