Town has international award winner

A WARRINGTON service has been given one of the most prestigious international awards for the ability to deliver.
The Council for Voluntary Service, based in the Gateway Centre, has been awarded the ISO 9001 Award by an independent auditor.
CVS is an independent organisation, which helps local voluntary and community groups to work well for their members, and to speak up and represent them on important issues.
They were awarded the ISO 9001 as a result of an audit conducted by company Quality Management Systems.
Chief Executive, Nigel Bacon said: “We are delighted to receive this external recognition of the high quality standard to which we work. We are a small organisation, but that does not make it easier to achieve. It is equally important for us to be able to demonstrate that we work effectively and to a high standard.
“The third sector is often criticised for not being ‘professional’ enough. We hope this achievement will help to nail that myth.”
The International Standardisation Organisation awards the ISO 9001 to grade management systems.
ISO 9001 awards are given to management systems that perform the best under the scrutiny of a full day’s audit.
