A CARE worker required immediate medical attention following an unattended cooker fire in Warrington.
Fire crews had to administer oxygen therapy to the member of staff at Ryfields Retirement village, off Gorsy lane, when a flat filled with smoke from the fire.
The victim, who suffers from asthma, suffered minor smoke inhalation.
A positive pressure ventilation unit was used to clear the area by two crews from Warrington fire station.
