GARDENERS across the borough are being told to use their water wisely by Warrington based company United Utilities.
Due to the recent warm weather, green-fingered folk have been busy tending to their gardens at a rate the utilities company say could seriously affect climate change.
Supply and Demand Manager from the company, Simon Boyland, said: “We all want to be able to enjoy our gardens this summer.”
“But more and more people are realising that water is a precious resource and I’m sure gardeners across Cheshire will be happy to get their lawns in great shape while being sensible with how much water they use.”
A survey carried out on behalf of United Utilities found that 99 per cent of those questioned thought that industry and homeowners would need to use water more efficiently over the next five to 10 years.
The company are issuing a range of tips, including buying drought resistant plants with the full list available from www.unitedutilities.com/usewaterwisely
