MOTORISTS were left stuck in traffic jams after an incident involving four vehicles on one of the town’s busiest roads.
Three cars and a motor cycle were involved in the collision that took place this morning at around 7.50am on Sankey Way.
The bike rider was left requiring medical attention on the carriage way as cars filtered past on the inside lane.
An eye witness said: “Both the police and ambulance were on scene trying to sort it out. There was a man on the floor receiving medical attention wearing a neck-brace.”
Traffic was backed up to Old Hall and further along Sankey Way leaving many motorists stuck in the morning rush hour and likely to be late for work.
