Parking charges to rise

WARRINGTON Borough Council is hiking up the charges to visit one of the town’s most popular beauty spots.
Fees to park at Walton Hall Gardens will be increased from June 11, with charges for being booked and clamped also rising.
Cars using the facilities during the week will be charged an extra 50p, making the cost now £2, while coaches will be charged an extra £1, taking their fees up to £6.
Weekend and bank holidays charges remain at £3 for cars, but coach charges again increase to £6.
The biggest price hike at the gardens is to have vehicles released by clampers, which increases by £30 to £90.
Failure to display a valid ticket will result in a penalty charge notice of between £50 and £70.
