Masked men attack pub landlord

TWO masked men burst into a pub and attacked the landlord as he was about to lock-up at closing time.
The raid was at the Golden Fleece pub at The Cross, Lymm.
There was a violent struggle during which the 43-year-old landlord suffered minor injuries.
The two offenders gained access to the safe and escaped with cash.
Police say the attack – at about 11.30pm on Friday, May 2 – took place while there was a lot of activity on boats moored on the adjacent Bridgewater Canal and have appealed to any boat-owners or other members of the public to come forward if they have any information at all.
They say the area around the Golden Fleece is usually quite busy of a Friday evening.
Anyone who can help should call DC Tracey Earley on 01244 613831.
