Residents asked Help a Heart

RESIDENTS in Warrington are being urged to “Help a Heart” by raising money in the coming months for the British Heart Foundation.
Cash collecting envelopes will be pushed through letter across the borough in the hope of reaching a collection target of £1.5 million nationwide.
A Help a Heart team is also encouraging people to organise their own fundraising events, such as car boot sales, sponsored walks and coffee mornings.
Those who are short on time are being offered no excuses for not donating as money can be given online to virtual collectors.
BHF Community Fundraising and Volunteer Manager for Cheshire, Shirley McNally, said: “British Heart Foundation research has helped save so many lives. This June we need your help to raise vital funds, so we can continue to invest in groundbreaking research. Whether it’s time or money, please give generously and help a heart this June. Heart disease can affect everyone and it’s only with your support that we can beat heart disease together.”
