Blaze threatens factory building

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze which threatened a factory building at Warrington during the night.
The fire was at the premises of Perrite Ltd, on Kingsland Grange – part of the Grange industrial estate at Woolston.
Fire broke out in a large metal skip containing waste plastic and threatened the adjoining factory building.
A quantity of wooden pallets stored nearby were also at risk.
But fire crews from Birchwood, assisted by a foam tender from Warrington, managed to contain the blaze and damage was restricted to the contents of the skip.
