A 40-strong school choir from Nachod – Warrington’s twin town in the Czech Republic – was in town today.
The Nachod Grammar School choir dropped in on the Mayor, Coun Celia Jordan, at the Town Hall, where they sang for her before visiting the Pyramid Centre and going bowling in the town.
The youngsters are spending several days in Salford on a trip organised by former Warrington Borough Council press officer Dave Bamford. They are visiting Manchester, Liverpool and Blackpool during their stay.
Mr Bamford said: “I thought it important that while they are over here, the choir visited Nachod’s official twin town and had a look around.”
The choir are putting on two concerts in Salford during their stay.
