Suspicious fires

FIRE chiefs today issued a warning to businesses after two suspicious skip fires broke out on Warrington’s Gemini Retail Park.
The fires were discovered short after 5am today and apparently started within 15 minutes of each other.
Neither skip was close to a building so there was no immediate threat to property.
But a Fire Service spokesman said there was a danger of the blaze escalating.
He said: “We would advise businesses in the area to be on their guard.
“It would appear there might be a spate of arson attacks in the area and the danger to property could be serious.”
Both fires were extinguished without any problems.
