Motorcylist dies in triple crash

A MOTOR cyclist died and another was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash in Manchester Road, Rixton near Warrington.
The incident involved two motor cyclists and a Vauxhall Vectra saloon.
Police are appealing for witnesses of the accident which occurred on Saturday.
The two motor cyclists, a man aged 56 and a woman aged 26, both from Manchester, were both travelling in the direction of Irlam when they were in collision with the car. The man suffered injuries were subsequently proved fatal and the woman was also badly injured.
She is detained in Warrington Hospital, although her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police are appealing for witnesses who should call 01244 613813.
