A GRANT of £13,000 has been given to Glazebury Scouts by environmental organisation WREN.
Money goes to Glazebury Community Scout Centre for re-roofing of the scout hall/community centre to safeguard the future of the building.
The funding comes from the Waste Recycling Group Ltd landfill operations throughout the UK. Projects need to be within 10 miles of one of its landfill sites and the agency is seeking more applications for community projects in the town.
The next deadline for applications to WREN is July 18 and grants can be between £2,000 and £50,000 for capital projects.
