Nantwich 3 Warrington Town 0

WARRINGTON Town suffered yet another disappointing midweek away result, this time at the hands of local rivals Nantwich Town.
Town never really got going and fell behind in the 19th minute when Nantwich striker Andy Kinsey was given the time and space to round Danny Morton in the Warrington goal and roll the ball into the empty net.
Town had possibly their best spell of the game when Phil Mitchell forced a corner and Lee Thompson shot wide when Mitchell was unmarked at the far post.
Shortly after Morton was on hand to deny Kinsey a second goal.
The second half started badly as Town conceded a goal immediately as midfielder Carter was on hand to roll the ball into the empty net after Morton had saved Kinsey’s initial effort.
Town thought the were back in the game in the 63rd minute when Lee Thompson had an effort ruled out following an indirect free kick. The introduction of Graeme Mitchell brought about some urgency to the team and he went close shortly after, slicing wide when one on one with Rob Hackney in the Nantwich goal.
That was as close as Town came and fell further behind shortly before the finish as substitute Suhaj finished neatly past Morton and into the bottom corner.
Suhaj could have had a hat trick before the finish but wasted two good opportunities.
Town: Morton, Salt, Fitzsimmons, Pitts, Coyne, McAllister, P. Mitchell, S.Smith, Thompson, Ellison, Crompton Subs: G.Mitchell for Salt, 64. Courtney for McAllister, 64. Hannon for Crompton, 80.
