My daughter in law rented the DVD of this film with Cate Blanchett and Judi Dench and a terrific supporting cast. I had read in the trades about the plot – a menage-a-trois — Cate pursued by two would be lovers. She let me borrow it before taking it back to the video store.
It stretches one’s credulity, but Ms. Dench and Ms. Blanchett are amazingly wonderful in their roles. Every frame of the film, every actor, every line of dialog… GOLD STARS !!!
