I have very much enjoyed the novel Nobble Hospital of the Aegean by Paul Judges.
It’s a simple tale that takes place on a small Greek island, yet the language and humour is clear and lovely.
There are many ingredients to the story – nature, pain, joy, sex, love, and an overriding sentiment of compassion.
The book suggests we can all find a place in this imperfect world – not in a sentimental fashion, but a thoroughly entertaining and moving way.
An original novel that’s well worth a try.
