RunThrough, the UK’s largest and Europe’s fastest-growing running events company, says it is thrilled to preview the return of the Warrington Running Festival on Sunday, September 22nd.
Set in the picturesque Bank Park, this year’s festival promises to be a highlight in the local running calendar, featuring a 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, and a Juniors race, all in support of St. Rocco’s Hospice.
As the Warrington Running Festival enters its fourth year, it continues to grow in popularity, with over 6000 runners participating in 2023. This year, participants can look forward to a vibrant event village in Bank Park, filled with entertainment, activities, and food vendors, ensuring a fantastic day for both runners and spectators alike.
Following on from last year’s exceptional event by The RunThrough Foundation, in which the Warrington Running Festival was the world’s first free to enter closed road mass participation event, RunThrough aims to build on this momentous success by not only hosting the Warrington Running Festival, but also by hosting the LONDON TEN – London’s first completely free to enter road race. The Warrington Running Festival succeeded in advancing the RunThrough Foundation’s goal of encouraging people into running for the physical and mental health benefits, with 66% of participants having never taken part in an officially organised race before.
