Another 43 new COVID-19 cases as infection rates in Warrington remain twice the UK average

A total of 43 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Warrington with infection rates in the town still more than double the national average.

Meanwhile across the UK another another 280,241 people also had a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 236,363 had a second dose. It means 42,964,013 have now had their first jab, while 31,340,507 are fully vaccinated, at the end of a week when all over 18s can now book for a vaccine.



The 43 (71) new COVID-19 cases take the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 18,807 (18,693).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days have risen again, with 380 (348) – 180.9 (165.7) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period– more than twice the national rate of 85.1 (80.9) per 100,000, which continues to rise.
